Who Qualifies for an ECO4 Grant?
Eligibility is primarily based on your household's income, benefits received, and your property's current energy efficiency rating. You must be a homeowner or private tenant.
Route 1: Benefit Recipients
You are likely to qualify if you own your home and a member of the household receives at least one of the following means-tested benefits:

Route 2: ECO4 Flex (LA Flex)
If you don't receive benefits, you may still qualify through the Local Authority Flexible Eligibility scheme. This route is for households that are still considered low-income but don't receive benefits. Criteria vary by council but generally include:

- ✔ Your property having a low EPC rating (D, E, F, or G).

How the Funding and Payments Work.
How much funding is provided?
The amount of funding is not a fixed grant; it depends on your property's type, size, and its current energy efficiency. The scheme is designed to fund the most impactful measures first.
The goal of ECO4 is to cover **100% of the installation costs**. For most eligible households, this means there is absolutely nothing to pay. In some cases, for very large or complex properties, a small homeowner contribution may be required, but this will be clearly outlined and agreed upon before any work begins. There are no hidden costs.
How do we get paid?
Our service is entirely free to you, the homeowner. We are not paid by you. Our payment comes directly from the obligated energy suppliers (like British Gas, E.ON, etc.) who are legally required to provide the ECO4 funding.
The process is strictly regulated by Ofgem. Once we have successfully installed the energy efficiency measures in your home and all compliance paperwork is complete, we submit the project details to our funding partner, who then claims the money from the energy supplier. We are paid upon successful completion and verification of the work.
